Horseradish has been prized for its medicinal and gastronomic qualities for over 3000 years.  The spicy burst of flavor it adds to appetizers, side dishes, main dishes and cocktails is unmistakable.  Try adding a bit of horseradish to your deviled eggs, tuna salad, baked or mashed potatoes, steaks and seafood.  If you need to spice up that Sunday brunch just add a dab while mixing up your Bloody Mary’s.

Just a reminder, when heated horseradish will lose its pungency.

Heat Level:  can make your eyes water and will clean out your sinuses if not used in moderation.
